Suspect Charged Over Death of Man Found on Kirkmuirhill Street

A 40 year old man has been charged in connection with the death of Adam Lawson, 39, who was found in the Hope Road area of Kirkmuirhill, South Lanarkshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 3.30am on Sunday after reports that a man had been found dead. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Lawson was pronounced dead at the location.

Suspect Due in Court

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday as part of the investigation and has been formally charged. He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court.

Police Scotland confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident and said there is no wider risk to the public. Lawson’s family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.
