Kenneth Roy

Kenneth Roy (1941-2018) was a Scottish journalist, broadcaster, and the founding editor of Scottish Review, which he launched in 1995. Over a distinguished career spanning five decades, he served as editor of The Herald diary column, presented programmes for BBC Scotland, and authored several books on Scottish life and society. Through Scottish Review, he championed independent journalism and gave voice to writers, thinkers, and commentators from across Scotland. He was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Scottish Press Awards in recognition of his contribution to Scottish journalism.
