Friends of SR

The Friends of the Scottish Review appeal has to date raised the grand total of £33,600.39

Of this, £17,600.39 has been contributed by 348 individuals. This money is used to help pay the running costs of the magazine.
The remaining £16,000 has come in a single donation from an anonymous supporter in recognition of the magazine’s investigative journalism. This money cannot be used to help pay our running costs. It is earmarked for special projects. The first of these projects was the Scottish Schools’ Young Thinker of the Year competition; the donation has also been used to finance the recent redesign of the magazine.
We are extremely grateful to all those listed below who have supported the appeal and invite other readers to join them.

The Scottish Review is published by a small educational charity, the Institute of Contemporary Scotland (ICS), organisers of the annual Young Scotland Programme. ICS gives the magazine the basics it requires for survival, but we need an additional source of revenue to ensure that the Scottish Review can maintain and develop its reputation for independent, politically non-aligned, inquiring journalism in Scotland.
The basic annual donation to become a Friend is £30. Friends who have given £100 or more are listed in CAPITAL LETTERS.
As a token of our appreciation, founding Friends of the Scottish Review will receive a copy of the anthology, Scottish Review 2009, or Islay McLeod’s Faces of Scotland.
