Some weeks ago, SR received political intelligence from Edinburgh that the SNP administration had decided not to have an inquiry into historic child sexual abuse. We then published a two-part exposé, ‘Scotland’s hidden shame, Scotland’s official silence’. It was reported in last Sunday’s press that the Scottish Government is to have an inquiry after all. We welcome this apparent change of heart.
