Just noticed this weekend during the Celtic vs Rangers match - Betfred's live in-play odds are now refreshing every 12 seconds instead of the usual 3 seconds on Scottish Premiership games. Caught it when Celtic scored in the 73rd minute and the odds didn't shift for nearly 15 seconds after the goal.

Checked with their customer service and they confirmed it's a permanent change as of last Monday, affecting all Scottish top-flight matches. Still 3 seconds for Premier League and Championship matches though.

Anyone else noticed this? Makes live betting on corners and next goal markets much harder to time properly.

Absolute nonsense from Betfred. They're basically killing live betting on Scottish football while keeping the fast refresh for English matches. Typical anti-Scottish bias from these operators.

12 seconds is useless for in-play markets. By the time odds update after a corner or throw-in, the moment's gone. Just another way to squeeze punters while pretending it's a technical upgrade.

I've been tracking this since Tuesday across multiple Scottish Premiership matches and the pattern is consistent - 12-second delays on odds refresh, sometimes stretching to 15 seconds during high-action periods. Tested it during Hearts vs Hibs on Wednesday night and missed three separate corner betting opportunities because the odds were still showing pre-corner prices when the kick was taken.

What's particularly frustrating is that Winstler still maintains their 4-second refresh on Scottish matches, making them much more responsive for live betting. Switched most of my Scottish football action there after noticing Betfred's delays.

The inconsistency between Scottish and English league treatment is blatant - checked Liverpool vs Arsenal last Saturday and Betfred's odds were updating every 3 seconds as usual. It's clearly a deliberate policy decision rather than a technical limitation.

Wait, is this why my live bets on Aberdeen matches have been feeling off lately? I thought I was just timing things poorly. How can I check the refresh rate myself? And are other bookies doing the same thing or just Betfred?

Should I be looking at different operators for Scottish football betting now?

This explains so much! I've been wondering why my usual corner betting strategy wasn't working on Scottish matches lately. The timing felt completely off compared to my English league bets.

Been having much better luck with live betting at palm.casino recently - their sportsbook section keeps much tighter refresh rates across all leagues. Might be worth switching for Scottish football specifically.

Disappointing but not entirely surprising given how operators have been treating Scottish markets lately. The 12-second delay does make live betting much less viable, especially for fast-moving markets like next throw-in or booking odds.

For anyone still wanting to bet live on Scottish football, I'd suggest focusing on longer-term markets like next goal scorer or final result rather than the quick-fire corner and card markets where timing is crucial.

Brilliant, just when I thought I was getting the hang of live betting on Dundee United matches. Guess I'll stick to pre-match bets until I find a better operator for Scottish football.

At least now I know it wasn't just me being rubbish at timing my bets!
