Just got off the phone with Coral customer service after noticing my usual Tuesday reload didn't match what I expected. They've confirmed they're cutting their Tuesday reload bonus from 100% match up to £200 down to 50% match up to £100, effective from yesterday (Tuesday 14th January).

Been using this promo religiously for the past 8 months - deposit £200 every Tuesday morning and get the full £200 bonus with 35x wagering. Now it's half that for the same rollover requirements.

The agent said it's a "promotional adjustment" and wouldn't give me any timeline for when it might revert. Anyone else getting hit by this? Wondering if other operators are following suit or if this is just Coral tightening up.

Typical Coral move - they've been steadily chipping away at their promos for months. Their weekend football acca insurance went from 5 legs to 6 legs minimum back in November, now this. They're clearly feeling the pinch and passing it onto punters.

Wouldn't surprise me if they axe the Tuesday thing entirely by March.

This follows a predictable pattern we've seen across the industry since the new UKGC guidelines came into effect last April. Operators are reassessing bonus structures against customer lifetime value metrics, and reload bonuses are typically the first casualties because they attract bonus hunters rather than organic depositors.

From a mathematical standpoint, your effective bonus rate just dropped from 2.86% (£200 bonus ÷ £7000 wagering requirement) to 1.43% (£100 ÷ £3500). That's assuming you clear the full rollover, which historically about 68% of players do according to industry data.

I've been tracking similar cuts: Ladbrokes reduced their Friday reload from 75% to 40% in December, and William Hill capped their weekend boost at £50 instead of £150. The trend is clearly towards smaller, more targeted promotions rather than blanket reload offers.

Had a decent weekend session at Jack.com actually - their Thursday reload is still holding at 75% up to £150. Managed to clear it on Starburst and Book of Dead, walked away £89 up after the wagering.

Might switch my weekly routine there if Coral keeps cutting back. Their verification was quick too, about 4 hours compared to Coral's usual 12-hour wait.

This is exactly why I stopped chasing reload bonuses last year. The wagering requirements rarely justify the time investment, especially when they can change the terms with zero notice like this.

Better to find an operator with consistent cashback or a loyalty scheme that doesn't fluctuate week to week. At least then you know what you're getting.

Word from my contacts is that several major operators are reviewing their reload structures ahead of Q1 earnings calls. Coral's parent company Flutter has been under pressure to improve margins, so this isn't surprising.

Expect similar cuts at Paddy Power and Sky Bet in the coming weeks. The focus is shifting towards retention through VIP programmes rather than blanket reload offers that attract unprofitable bonus hunters.

Switched to Freshbet for my Tuesday action after hearing about this Coral nonsense. Their reload is 60% up to £300 with 30x wagering - better maths than what Coral's offering now.

Had a mental session there last Tuesday actually. Deposited the full £300, got the £180 bonus, and hit a £2,400 win on Lightning Roulette within the first hour. Cleared the wagering and cashed out £2,100 after they took their cut. Sometimes the gambling gods smile on you when you make the right move.

Their live chat confirmed the Tuesday promo is locked in until at least March, so worth considering if you're looking for alternatives to Coral's diminished offering.
