Donbet reload bonus terms changed from weekly to monthly - anyone else noticed

Just logged into my Donbet account this morning and noticed they've quietly switched their reload bonus from weekly to monthly. Used to get the 50% match every Tuesday, but now it's showing as "next eligible date: 3rd February" which is nearly 4 weeks away.

Got the email confirmation from support - they're calling it a "bonus structure optimisation" but honestly feels like they're just cutting the frequency to save money. The match percentage is still 50% up to £200, but going from weekly to monthly means we're getting 75% fewer reload opportunities.

Anyone else caught this change? Wondering if other sites are following suit or if this is just Donbet trying to tighten their bonus spend.

Aye, typical corporate patter that. "Optimisation" my arse - they're just cutting costs and hoping punters don't notice. Weekly to monthly is a massive reduction in value, doesn't matter how they spin it.

This fits the pattern we've been seeing across the UK market since October. Operators are under pressure from increased regulatory costs and the pending affordability checks, so they're quietly reducing bonus frequency rather than cutting match percentages which would be more noticeable.

I've tracked similar moves at seven other operators in the past 6 weeks - mostly shifting from weekly to fortnightly or monthly cycles. The total annual bonus value drops by 60-75% but they avoid the backlash of cutting the headline match rate.

For what it's worth, Kingdom Casino still runs their Tuesday reload weekly at 75% match up to £150. Might be worth switching if you rely on regular reload bonuses for your bankroll management.

Been expecting this for months. The reload bonus arms race was never sustainable - sites were basically paying us to deposit money we were going to deposit anyway. From a bankroll perspective, monthly reloads actually force better discipline since you can't just reload every Tuesday when you're down.

Still annoying though, especially for smaller bankrolls that relied on the weekly top-ups.

Caught this last Thursday when I went to claim my usual reload and it wasn't there. Thought it was a glitch at first, then spent 20 minutes on live chat getting the runaround before they finally admitted the change.

Proper gutted because I'd built my whole deposit schedule around those Tuesday bonuses. Was putting in £100 every week to get the £50 match, which gave me £600 in bonus funds per month. Now it's down to £150 monthly if I max it out.

Been testing Goldenbet this week and their weekend reload is still running every Saturday at 60% match. Not quite the same schedule but at least it's more frequent than monthly. Had a decent session on their live blackjack tables yesterday - £180 deposit turned into £420 after clearing the 25x wagering on the bonus portion.

Might be time to spread deposits across multiple sites instead of staying loyal to one operator. These "optimisations" are just going to keep coming.

Same story everywhere mate. Sites are cutting back on promotions across the board. The weekly reload was one of the last decent regular bonuses left, so not surprised they've axed it.

At least they kept the match percentage the same. Could've been worse - could've dropped it to 25% monthly.

"Bonus structure optimisation" - that's a new one. Usually they just say "terms and conditions may change" and leave it at that.

Monthly reloads are basically useless unless you're a high roller. Most of us need the regular top-ups to keep sessions going.

Donbet's "bonus structure optimisation" is corporate speak for "we're cutting costs and hoping you don't notice." I've tracked my reload history there for 18 months and the weekly £25 minimum was perfect for bankroll management. Now with monthly reloads, they're forcing you to either deposit larger chunks or go without the bonus entirely.

The real kicker is they kept the 35x wagering unchanged. So you're getting the same terrible playthrough requirements but with less frequent access to bonus funds. Classic bait-and-switch - they hook you with decent terms then gradually make them worse once you're established.
