Just got confirmation from Grosvenor Edinburgh that their weekend reload is getting slashed from 100% match up to £200 down to 50% match up to £100, effective this Tuesday. Been taking advantage of this promo every Saturday for the past 8 months - was one of the better reload offers in the city.

The wagering stays at 35x but obviously the reduced match percentage makes it far less attractive. Manager mentioned it's part of a "strategic review" of their promotional structure, which usually means more cuts coming.

Anyone else getting similar notices from other Grosvenor venues? Wondering if this is Edinburgh-specific or rolling out across their Scottish locations.

Typical Grosvenor move - slash the decent promos and keep the rubbish ones. 50% match up to £100 is barely worth the effort when you factor in the 35x wagering. You're better off finding operators with proper cashback instead of chasing these watered-down reload bonuses.

I've been tracking promotional changes across multiple operators since my VIP status gives me early notice on most adjustments. Grosvenor's weekend reload was indeed one of the stronger offers in Scotland, particularly when combined with their comp point accumulation on slots.

What's concerning is the pattern - I received similar notifications from three other operators last month about reload reductions. The market seems to be tightening promotional spend significantly. My account manager at Gxmble mentioned they're actually increasing their weekend reload to 75% match up to £300 to capture players moving away from traditional venues. Worth considering if you're looking for a replacement weekend promo.

The comp point earning rate at Grosvenor Edinburgh has also dropped from 1 point per £10 wagered to 1 point per £15, though they haven't announced that publicly yet.

Aye, saw this coming a mile off. Grosvenor's been tightening the purse strings since their quarterly review in March. The Edinburgh venue's always been their testing ground for promotional changes before rolling them out nationwide.

Mind you, 50% up to £100 still beats most of the online offerings these days. Just need to adjust expectations and maybe look elsewhere for the bigger reload bonuses.

Been saying for months that these reload bonuses are unsustainable at 100% match levels. The operators finally wised up to the bonus hunters clearing them out every weekend. Frankly surprised it took this long.

The real question is whether the reduced promotional spend gets passed back to players through better base game RTPs or improved comp programmes. Spoiler alert - it won't.

Gutted about this change! The 100% weekend reload was perfect for my Saturday sessions on the Book of Dead machines. Just hit a £180 win last weekend using the full £200 match bonus.

Might have to switch to Rolletto for weekend play - their Friday reload is still 80% up to £150 and the slots selection is actually better than Grosvenor's floor. Plus no travel into Edinburgh city centre.

This hits differently when you're used to structuring your weekend bankroll around that 100% match. I typically deposit £150 on Saturday mornings, get the £150 match, and play through £300 on the slots before moving to the poker tables with whatever's left after clearing the wagering.

Last Saturday's session was a perfect example - started with £300 total, cleared the 35x requirement in about 90 minutes on Starburst and Gonzo's Quest, ended up with £220 remaining. Moved to the £1/£2 cash game and built it up to £340 over four hours. The reduced reload completely changes that mathematical structure.

The timing is particularly frustrating because I'd just worked out the optimal slot strategy for clearing their wagering requirements with minimal variance. Now I need to recalculate everything based on the smaller bonus amounts, or find alternative venues with comparable promotional structures.
