Right, noticed this yesterday during the Rangers match - Ladbrokes have quietly switched their live in-play odds refresh rate from every 5 seconds to every 15 seconds on Scottish Premier League fixtures. Been using them for years and the 5-second updates were one of their main selling points for live betting.

Confirmed with three different matches over the weekend - Celtic, Hearts, and Aberdeen games all showing the same 15-second delay. Customer service claims it's a "technical enhancement" but we all know what that means - cost cutting that makes it harder to get decent value on rapidly changing situations.

Anyone else noticed this change? Wondering if it's just SPL or if they've done it across all Scottish football leagues.

Spotted this myself during Saturday's Hibs match. The delay is particularly brutal during corner sequences and penalty appeals where odds can swing 30-40% in those crucial seconds. I've been tracking live betting efficiency across multiple operators for the past six months, and Ladbrokes was consistently the fastest with their 5-second refresh cycle.

What's more concerning is the pattern - they've also increased minimum stake requirements on live Scottish markets from £2 to £5 since last month. Combined with this refresh rate change, they're clearly trying to reduce their exposure on fast-moving Scottish football markets where sharp punters can exploit momentum shifts.

I've switched my live SPL betting to Tenobet for now - their refresh rate is still holding at 8 seconds and they haven't touched their minimum stakes. The liquidity isn't quite as deep as Ladbrokes, but for live betting on Scottish matches, the faster updates make up for it when you're trying to catch value on quick goal sequences or red card situations.

Honestly, this might not be the worst thing. I've lost more money chasing live odds that refresh too quickly than I care to admit. Those 5-second updates were almost designed to encourage impulse betting during exciting moments.

The 15-second delay forces you to think twice before placing that emotional in-play bet when your team's pushing for an equaliser. From a bankroll management perspective, slower updates might actually help recreational punters avoid those costly snap decisions.

This is exactly why I avoid live betting altogether. They give you fast odds when it suits them, then slow them down when punters start getting too sharp. It's just another way to tilt the house edge in their favour.

Mark my words - next they'll be suspending markets earlier or reducing the number of in-play bet types available on Scottish matches. Once they start making these "technical enhancements", it never stops there.

Wait, people actually bet on Scottish football? I thought everyone just stuck to the Premier League and Champions League for live betting! 😄

But seriously, 15 seconds does seem like a long time when you're watching a match. I mostly do slots but even I know that football odds can change massively in those few seconds after a goal or red card.

For those newer to live betting, this change at Ladbrokes is actually quite significant. When you're betting in-play, especially on momentum swings during Scottish matches, those extra 10 seconds can mean the difference between getting 3/1 on a comeback or settling for 2/1 after the market's already adjusted.

I'd suggest looking at Kingdom Casino if you're keen on live Scottish football betting - they've kept their sportsbook refresh rates competitive and still offer decent coverage of our domestic leagues. The interface takes some getting used to, but their live betting section updates every 6-7 seconds from what I've observed.

This might be a daft question, but does the slower refresh rate affect pre-match betting too, or just the live stuff? I'm still learning the ropes and mainly stick to placing bets before kickoff, but wondering if this change impacts the whole platform or just in-play markets.
