Rolletto reverse withdrawal — they pulled my £400 back. What now?

Posting because I want the forum's take before I escalate. Last Friday I requested a £400 withdrawal from Rolletto (had a decent slot session, banked the win, requested cashout). Withdrawal went into "pending" Friday evening. Sunday it was still pending, no email, no notification. Monday morning I logged in to find the £400 BACK in my casino balance and a vague notification saying "withdrawal cancelled — please contact support."

Contacted Rolletto chat. Agent told me "the withdrawal was declined due to bonus terms violation — please review your account." I have not claimed a bonus on this account in 7 months. Asked for specifics. Got escalated to email. Email response came Tuesday afternoon saying the issue was "identified suspicious play pattern" with no further detail. The £400 is back in my balance and I cannot withdraw it without re-wagering it (according to the email).

Is this normal? Have other folks had reverse-withdrawal experiences with non-GamStop operators? My read is this is a stalling tactic but I want to hear from people who've been here before.

This is a recognizable pattern. The "suspicious play pattern" framing with no specifics is what some operators use when they want to either (a) buy time to investigate, or (b) discourage a player from cashing out by making them re-wager. The 7-month bonus-free history is documentary against them — they have to point to something specific.

My advice: request specific written reason for the withdrawal cancellation in writing. Reference your account history. If they don't provide a specific reason within 7 days, raise a complaint with the operator's licensing authority (Curacao Gaming Control Board for most non-GamStop operators, which is unfortunately functionally non-responsive on these complaints). Better: see if they're a member of TIA (The Independent Arbitrator) and route the complaint there.

Sympathies. £400 is enough to fight for, not enough to make a lawyer worthwhile. Practical steps in order: 1) Save all chat transcripts and email correspondence. Screenshots with timestamps. 2) Request written withdrawal reason in formal email, give 7 days. 3) Post the situation publicly on AskGamblers, ThePOGG, or CasinoGuru — these public dispute platforms are where operators actually feel pressure. 4) If they're TIA or eCOGRA aligned, route the complaint there.

Stay calm, document everything, public pressure. The reverse-withdrawal trick only works on players who give up. Don't give up.
