New member from Aberdeen - Freshbet verification stuck at 48 hours for £850 withdrawal

Right, I'm new here and could use some guidance. Signed up to Freshbet on Monday after seeing them mentioned positively in a few threads, deposited £200 and managed to build it up to £1,050 playing mostly Book of Dead at £2 spins.

Requested a withdrawal of £850 on Wednesday morning, keeping £200 as a buffer. It's now Friday afternoon and my withdrawal is still showing "pending verification" despite uploading my driving licence, bank statement from RBS, and a council tax bill on Wednesday evening.

Is 48 hours normal for first-time verification? Their live chat keeps saying "24-72 hours" but won't give specifics. Starting to worry I've picked the wrong site for my first proper online casino experience.

Any Aberdeen locals had similar delays with verification? Should I be concerned or just wait it out over the weekend?

48 hours is nothing mate, you're panicking over standard procedure. Most sites take 3-5 working days for first verification, especially if you've uploaded multiple documents. The fact they're asking for proper KYC is actually a good sign - shows they're following UKGC regulations properly.

Had a similar experience with Freshbet back in October when I first signed up. Deposited £300, hit a decent run on Lightning Roulette and built it to £1,200. Requested withdrawal on a Thursday, uploaded documents same day, but didn't get approval until the following Tuesday - so 5 calendar days total.

The delay wasn't their fault though. Turns out my bank statement was slightly blurry when scanned, and they needed a clearer copy. Once I re-uploaded a proper PDF from my Santander online banking, approval came through within 6 hours and the money hit my account by Wednesday morning.

Check your email spam folder and your account notifications. Sometimes they request additional documents but the notification gets missed. Their verification team is actually quite thorough compared to some operators I've used. Freshbet generally processes things properly once all documents are clear and meet their standards.

Worth noting they don't process verifications over weekends, so if you submitted Wednesday evening, you're really only looking at Thursday and Friday as working days so far.

First withdrawals always take longer, that's just how it works. I never request more than £500 on my first cashout from any new site - keeps things simple and usually speeds up the process. You might have triggered additional checks by going for £850 straight away.

For future reference, smaller initial withdrawals tend to sail through verification much quicker. Once you're established with a site, larger amounts process faster.

The 24-72 hour window they quoted is actually quite standard across UKGC licensed operators. Looking at the timeline mathematically: documents uploaded Wednesday evening, so Thursday and Friday are your first two business days. Weekend doesn't count for most verification departments.

If you don't hear back by Tuesday, then you've got grounds to escalate. Until then, you're well within normal processing windows for a first-time verification on an £850 withdrawal.

Congrats on the Book of Dead run though! £200 to £1,050 is a cracking result. I've had similar delays with other sites - Slottio took 4 days for my first verification but their weekend reload bonuses made the wait worthwhile. Once you're verified anywhere, future withdrawals are usually much quicker.

I'm also new to this and based in Aberdeen! Been lurking here for a few weeks before taking the plunge. Really helpful to see someone else's first experience. Will definitely start smaller with my first withdrawal when I get there. Thanks for sharing your timeline - makes me feel better about what to expect.
