Just noticed this weekend that Paddy Power pulled all live betting markets on Scottish League Two matches 90 minutes before kickoff instead of their usual 15-minute cutoff. Caught me off guard during Saturday's Stirling Albion vs Queen's Park match - went to place a corner bet at 2:45pm for the 3pm kickoff and everything was already suspended.

Called their customer service and they confirmed it's a permanent change for Scottish League Two only. Scottish Premiership and Championship still get the normal 15-minute window, but League Two gets cut at 90 minutes now.

Anyone else noticed this change? Seems like they're treating League Two differently from the other Scottish divisions. Wonder if it's a liquidity issue or something else entirely.

Typical Paddy Power nonsense. They've been quietly tightening restrictions on lower league Scottish football for months. First it was reducing the number of corner markets, now this 90-minute cutoff rubbish.

Switched most of my Scottish League Two action to Kingdom Casino after their sportsbook kept normal timing windows. At least they're not treating Scottish lower leagues like second-class citizens.

This fits a pattern I've been tracking across multiple operators since September. The 90-minute cutoff likely stems from liquidity concerns rather than regulatory requirements - League Two matches typically generate £2,000-£8,000 in total handle compared to £50,000+ for Premiership fixtures.

From a risk management perspective, it makes mathematical sense. Lower liquidity means larger price movements from individual bets, and the 90-minute buffer gives them more time to adjust odds if sharp money comes in. I've documented similar changes at three other major operators over the past six months.

The real issue is inconsistent communication. They should flag these changes prominently rather than letting punters discover them mid-session. Poor customer experience for what's probably a sound business decision.

Word from inside the industry is that several operators are reassessing their Scottish lower league exposure after some unusual betting patterns in League Two during October. Can't say too much, but there were concerns about potential match-fixing attempts that triggered internal reviews.

The 90-minute cutoff isn't just Paddy Power - expect similar moves from other major operators by February. It's a defensive measure while they implement better monitoring systems for these markets.

Honestly, this might be a blessing in disguise for responsible gambling. Those last-minute live bets on lower league matches were often impulse decisions anyway - the 90-minute cutoff forces you to do proper research beforehand.

I've been using MyStake for most of my Scottish football betting lately. Their pre-match markets on League Two are actually quite comprehensive, and the 48-hour withdrawal times beat Paddy's weekend delays. Sometimes operator changes push you toward better options.

Lost out on a cracking opportunity last Saturday because of this exact issue. Had inside info that Ayr United's left-back was carrying a knock - would've hammered the over 2.5 corners market knowing they'd struggle down that flank. By the time I got to my laptop, markets were already suspended with 85 minutes to go.

Ended up watching the match anyway - Ayr conceded 7 corners in the first half alone, exactly as expected. Would've been a £400 winner on a £50 stake. Now I'm stuck placing these bets 2-3 hours before kickoff when team news isn't even confirmed yet.

The whole point of live betting was reacting to late information. If they're pulling markets 90 minutes early, what's the bloody point? Might as well stick to traditional pre-match betting and save myself the frustration of missed opportunities.

Still learning the ropes here - does this 90-minute cutoff apply to all bet types or just certain markets? And do other operators have similar restrictions I should know about before picking where to place my Scottish League Two bets?
